Devlog 4:


Hello! This is our fourth devlog about the game CookedBattle, which is a local multiplayer cooking and fighting game where you cook the weapons you will use to defeat your opponent.

This week, we have added new ingredients, recipes and more.

  • Ingredients: We have more ingredients to offer, such as milk, celery and tomatoes. Also, we have implemented spawners, these give a random ingredient to any player that walks near by.
  • Recipes: Now there are new recipes available that have the mechanics we have talked in the previous weeks. The player can cook a yogurt or a jelly and place it on the floor to stunn the players, cook a soup and throw it to inflict damage or cut a cellery in order to use it as a melee weapon.
  • Menus: A main and pause menu were added. The users can press the "Esc" key to pause the game and they have the option to return to the main menu or resume the game. The credits in the main menu aren't implemented yet, so clicking that button is useless at the moment.
  • HP bars: A health bar was added to every player.
  • Working tables: The working tables are operative and transform the ingredients into a recipe or a new ingredient, for example sliced tomatoes. 
  • ToDo: We need to do some bugfix in the game, in some cases the game crashes unexpectly. Also most of the ingredients and recipies does not have a texture. In the following weeks we plan to work in these issues and progress bars to each of the working tables.
