Devlog 2: Initial develop
Hello! We are GoodSoup and this is our second devlog about the game CookedBattle that involves a local multiplayer cooking and fighting game that involves cooking the weapons you are going to use to defeat your opponent.
Updates:
This weeks we have been programing a the base of the game, in this case we created a demo of the map that the fight and cooking will take place. Please understand that this is not finished and we will be making a lot of changes in the future. Here is a image as a reference:
Also we have started to program both chefs, in this case the chefs have a walking and an attack animation. The player 1 can move with the WSAD keys and attack with the space bar and the player 2 can move with the directional arrow keys and attack with the "enter" key. They can actually hurt each other and it will print in console how much health they have left. In the future we plan to change the sprite of the second player so we can tell both players apart. The Godot blocks represents where the ingredients of the recipies are going to be placed.
We have also configured the camera so it is centered in the map. Also you can tell that there is a grey background behind the stage and the corners of the kitchen have a bad texture, we will fix these issues soon.
